A post on Twitter that then-US President Donald Trump posted on December 19, 2020, in which he asked his supporters to go to Washington on January 6, 2021 and wrote that it would “go wild”, was seen by his supporters as a call to take up arms.
That strikes the special congressional committee investigating the storming of the Capitol in new televised interrogations.
The post was prompted by a heated meeting in the White House with Trump’s lawyers.
