Derek Rogers, a spokesperson for OPP West Region, said Saturday via email the incident is still under investigation, but there was no new information available. He also said the deceased’s name will not be released unless the investigation determines the death was suspicious.
Campbell confirmed via email Saturday the Ontario Fire Marshal concluded his on-scene investigation.
“However, this is only one stage of the investigation process. We should know more next week,” he added.
A spokesperson from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office didn’t immediately respond to a request for more information Saturday. No investigators were on site Saturday afternoon and the home, on a rural property on London Line just east of Oil Heritage Road, appeared vacant.
