After the riots during the Easter weekend, a preliminary investigation into work environment violations was initiated against the Police Authority. Now the Special Prosecutor’s Chamber chooses to close the preliminary investigation as they make the assessment that no crime has been committed, reports P4 Östergötland.
“Police officers have quite a lot of room to make different judgments when decisions are made without it being considered misconduct,” Chief Prosecutor Jim Westerberg justifies the decision.
According to the prosecutor, the police management has also not made any decisions that can be considered to be misconduct of a criminal nature.
