(Finance) – The European Investment Bank (EIB) announced a financing of 35 million euros to support the Research, Development and Innovation activities of GVMone of the main Italian hospital groups. The financing is supported by InvestEUthe European Union’s investment programme, of which the EIB Group is the main implementing partner. The EIB’s intervention aims to make care more accessible and personalized, to digitize and automate the services offered to patients and to improve operational efficiency.
In detail, the financing will allow: GVM to develop medical devices in the cardiopulmonary and extracorporeal life support fields, to conduct clinical and translational research for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases and to enhance the digital infrastructure in all the group’s main healthcare facilities in Italy. Furthermore, with reference to the subsidiary Eurosets, the construction of a new cutting-edge production plant is planned, as an extension of the existing site in Medolla, in the province of Modena. The projects will be completed by 2027.
