Intesa Sp: no communication from judicial authorities

Intesa Messina 100 billion identified for growth in managed savings

(Finance) – “Intesa Sanpaolo has not received any communication from the judicial authority and underlines that the Bank was able to proceed with the notification to the Privacy Authority and the complaint to the Bari Prosecutor’s Office as an injured party within the timeframe made possible by an extensive and accurate process, aimed at reconstructing what happened”. This is what a spokesperson for the company specifies Intesa Sanpaolo compared to some press reports.

Once the internal control structure highlighted the anomalies – it is clarified – the disciplinary procedure and the analysis of the facts immediately began which required a complex and extensive reconstruction of what happened. In the meantime, the Bank suspended the employee as a precaution and proceeded to initiate discussions with the Privacy Authority, subsequently integrating the initial notification with the developments of the matter.

“The complex analysis of the facts with the consequent completion of the disciplinary procedure – in compliance with the procedures to guarantee and protect the worker – led to the dismissal in light of the serious and repeated violations of the rules, regulations and internal procedures committed by him. Only at the conclusion of all this, the Bank was finally able to file a complaint as an injured party,
on the basis of the exposition of the facts as reconstructed to the judicial authority”.

The Bank’s behavior “will as always be based on maximum collaboration with the authorities”.
