Intesa Sanpaolo strengthens support for the internationalization of SMEs

Intesa Sanpaolo reopens deadlines for renouncing transfer to Isybank

(Finance) – Intesa Sanpaolo launched a synergistic program between International Subsidiary Banks Division (ISBD) and the Territorial Bank Division (BDT) in order to further enhance the cross-border business opportunities of mid-corporates operating in the 12 countries served by the Group’s commercial banks in Central and South-Eastern Europe and North Africa. The ambition of the program is to strengthen the positioning of Intesa Sanpaolo as a reference bank and partner long-term for businesses, leveraging the Group’s synergistic operating models.

The project of valorization of intragroup synergies in favor of SMEsalready successfully implemented last year in the markets of Slovakia (through VUB Banka), Romania (Intesa Sanpaolo Bank) and Hungary (CIB Bank), is now extended to Albania, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia to subsequently continue to other markets in which there are a total of over 2,000 Italian industrial groups with their own subsidiaries in the countries within the scope of the ISBD foreign network.

The program, structured jointly by Territorial Bank Division led by Stefano Barrese and the International Subsidiary Banks Division led by Marco Elio Rottigni, provides for an increase in financing lines and the offer of products and services dedicated to internationalisation, now also involving Intesa Sanpaolo Bank in Albania, Privredna Banka Zagreb in Croatia, Banca Intesa Beograd in Serbia, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank in Slovenia, the Regional Directorates of the Banca dei Territori and the Agribusiness Directorate.

In this picture, in the current month the Italian road show will take place which includes four meetings with local businesses in Venice (19 February), Padua (20 February), Jesi (21 February) and Florence (22 February).

Giuseppe Ferraro, head of the Corporate & SME Department of the International Subsidiary Banks Division of Intesa Sanpaolo: “The project to strengthen the synergies between the International Subsidiary Banks Division and the Banca dei Territori Division achieved, a few months after its launch, results well above the set objectives, with over 600 customers interested and over 250 million in euros of financing granted. The success of the project, which contributes to further strengthening the international positioning of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has made it possible to accelerate the extension of the initiative to countries in which the Group boasts a leadership role on the market, with the objective of increasingly supporting both Italian companies active in these areas and foreign companies operating in Italy”.
