Intesa Sanpaolo reopens deadlines for renouncing transfer to Isybank

(Finance) – Intesa Sanpaolo sent today to another 2 million customers the communication of transfer of their banking relationshipsstarting next March 18th, in Isybank, the group’s new digital bank. Interested customers will be able to communicate their preference on whether or not to switch to Isybank until February 29th.

“This decision – a spokesperson explains – was taken by the bank after carefully listening to its customers and to meet the needs gathered in the best possible way”. Intesa Sanpaolo “remains fully convinced of the validity of the Isybank projectalso confirmed by the fact that over 90% of the customers transferred in October are already operational” and indicates, on the basis of its findings, how “5% of customers were not fully satisfied” involved, in relation to which “the bank is already taking action to best respond to the needs of these customers”. “Furthermore, the number of those who have asked and continue to ask to return to Intesa Sanpaolo is very limited”, it is added.

Furthermore, according to a communication from the bank to customers seen by Finance, Intesa Sanpaolo has reopened the terms for thousands of its customers to be able to renounce the switch to Isybank.

“If you deem it preferable to maintain the current relationship with Intesa Sanpaolo because you do not consider yourself a “predominantly digital customer” to be included in the transferred business branch, you will have the opportunity to let us know again […], until February 29, 2024“, we read in the communication. A previous communication from last July had instead indicated a deadline of 30 September.
