The event will begin with a great novelty for 2022: the ” Weather meet-up “. While previous editions focused more on the major issues related to global warming, the 2022 edition devotes a day dedicated to observation, forecasting and diffusion meteorological data. Professionals and amateurs will be able to attend sessions of debates and conferences “between enthusiasts” and exchange with international sizes and known faces in the field, including TV presenters Louis Bodin (TF1), Laurent Romejko (France 3), Chloé Nabédian ( France 2), the agro-meteorologist and hunterthunderstorms Serge Zaka and many others. The Forum also devotes a day of training to those who have the power, and the duty, to raise awareness among the youngest: teachers are invited to come and be trained on the issues of climate change, biodiversity and sustainable development at the Climate Academy on May 16. As for weather and climate professionals, a symposium by invitation (subsequently available in replay) is dedicated to them on May 17 on the theme: “ Carbon neutrality: how do we achieve it? “.

As specified Jean Jouzel (climatologist, former member of the IPCC and president of Météo et Climat) who will be present on May 15 for the screening of a documentary film dedicated to him: Faced with climate issues, it is important to educate and provide the keys to act. This is one of the essential missions of the International Weather and Climate Forum, a forum dedicated to sharing knowledge on atmospheric and climate sciences. »
