The Bobigny Criminal Court in Seine-Sant-Denis, France, convicted a man who in 2017 fed a wild lion cub in a cage without permission at his home, in his trial. While the court sentenced the person to 8 months in prison, it also decided to pay a fine of 14,500 euros to the 6 animal protection associations, which are the civil parties of the case. The court also decided that the man he released on bail for the remaining 4 months in prison should pay a penalty of 15 euros a day for 90 days. It was reported that the person would go to jail if he did not comply with the penalties. (UAV)
