Xenophobia is on the rise in Europe. Most recently, police launched an investigation on suspicion of xenophobia after a 29-year-old man shot a 22-year-old teenager with a crossbow in Peine, Lower Saxony, Germany.

In the statement made by the police, it was stated that the young man who was injured in the attack, which took place at around 12:45 local time yesterday, was taken under treatment, but it was not life-threatening.
It was recorded that the 29-year-old attacker, who attacked with a crossbow, was taken into custody by the police immediately after the incident.
