Turku’s FC Inter’s final opponent will be determined on Thursday, when SJK and KuPS collide in Seinäjoki.
Inter from Turku defeated Haka Valkeakoski with a score of 2-1 in the men’s Finnish Cup semi-final match. The winning goal of the match was scored by an Inter striker from a penalty kick Darren Smith.
However, the most visible player on the field was Inter’s 16-year-old great promise Djoully Nzoko. In addition to one goal, the youngster constantly made decisions that promoted the game. In the football league, Nzoko has scored four goals in 11 matches. Haka was responsible for the only child Oliver Whyte.
The people of Turku dominated the opening half quite clearly, but Inter could not get closer to Nzoko’s crossbar shot. Haka’s game lacked creativity, and the attacking game was mainly a push. In the second period, Inter found efficiency and finally marched to a fairly easy victory.
The cup final will be played in Tampere on September 21. The winning team earns 50,000 euros, in addition to which the club gets a place in next summer’s European games.
