Hope is dwindling to find survivors in the ruins after the building that collapsed on Monday in the town of George in South Africa. Extensive rescue efforts were underway on Wednesday after around ten people were reported missing.

At least seven people had been confirmed dead on Wednesday. Around 30 of the 75 construction workers who worked at the site have been rescued from the mobs. However, several of them have life-threatening injuries.

According to local authorities, the cause of the construction accident in southern South Africa is not yet known. The property was to be a five-storey residential building.
