– In the Middle East, we SIS (MI6) and the CIA have utilized our intelligence channels to pursue a strictly restrained and de-escalating line, Burns and Moore write.
Intelligence chiefs say they are working to end the conflict.
– Our services are working non-stop to achieve a ceasefire and a hostage agreement in Gaza, so that the suffering and shocking loss of lives of Palestinian civilians will end and the hellish 11-month hostage-taking by Hamas will come to an end.
The CIA’s Burns thanks his “friends Egypt and Qatar” for mediation and negotiation help.
