Research by the Inclusive Society Knowledge Platform (KIS) in six municipalities shows that civil servants of color or with a migration background experience racism in the workplace. They feel less valued and experience a lack of support.
There is also criticism of the application and compliance with procedures surrounding the inflow, progression and assessment of personnel. This leads to inequality between employees based on origin, skin color and/or religion in their chances of entering and growing in the organization. There is also non-formalized, socially ingrained behavior that reinforces inequality.
