The case came to the fore last year when one of the women decided to report sexual abuse. An investigation was conducted and the Amsterdammer was arrested in May. At the time, the man was still working in Nieuwersluis and was suspended by the prison pending the investigation. “The Justice and Security Inspectorate does not deal with the criminal side of the case, that is up to the Public Prosecution Service and the police,” according to the Inspectorate.
