Insecurity in Burkina pushes two Nigerien bus companies to review

Two bus and coach transport companies in Niger – Sonef and Rimbo Transports Voyageur – are suspending their journeys linking Niamey to Ouagadougou and Bamako, via Dori in Burkinabe territory. This is where 2 buses were attacked on Saturday April 15 by suspected jihadists. The assailants did not attack the passengers. But they set fire to the 2 vehicles as well as all the luggage they were carrying. For these security reasons, the two companies now offer to reach the capitals of Burkina Faso and Mali via the north of Benin or Togo.
