INPS Tridico efficient public company serving the country

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – INPS is “a large efficient public company at the service of the country and its change“. Said the president Pasquale Tridico on the occasion of the celebrations for the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the institute. “Only 20 years ago the institute offered benefits and services in the order of a few dozen – he continued – today it manages over 400. By the will of successive Governments and Parliaments, INPS has increased the number and variety of social benefits and merged other social security institutions with it, becoming a real ‘National Welfare Agency’ with increasingly broader missions and objectives to meet the growing needs of Italian company”.

Tridico underlined that “this evolution has led to greater efficiency, economies of scale and centralized data management for greater service integration. The INPS not only provides services in an ordinary context for approx 42 million users, between workers, retirees, families and companies, but it has also become an essential pillar in emergency situations, as happened during the pandemic, when the institute responded effectively to a need for supportthe unprecedented for an additional 16 million people. More recently it has been the driving force behind the implementation of measures such as the single allowance, which today is paid to around 10 million of our children, subsidies for millions of poor people, while tens of millions of users have received through INPS interventions support to fight the energy crisis”

According to the latest consolidated financial statements, Tridico recalled, the institute manages €386 billion in revenue, of which €145 billion in public transfers, and €384 billion in expenditure, ensuring the sustainability of the system and acting as a hub for social cohesion. “We are also an implementing body of the PNRR – he said – within which we have 130 projects and services under construction: a third of them have already been financed and released, including the new INPS portal, a real electronic desk, completely renewed, which simplifies access to performance and personalizes the user experience”. INPS is therefore “an engine that is always on, the largest welfare institution in Europe – he added – today we celebrate 125 years of a history always projected towards innovation and the future. I want to underline how all this is been and will be possible thanks to the constant commitment of all INPS personnel, to whom a good 4,124 young new hires are added these days, who rigorously interpret a fundamental social function.Their work is supported by a clear strategy of technological innovation which in recent years has placed the institute at the forefront of public administrations, both for the interoperability of databases and for digital services.We are also a fundamental wealth of data, used for the purposes of good governance, greater efficiency and study for social well-being in the different stages of life, from the womb to the heirs.The growth of a large democratic community is nourished by trust in the future, trust that is cultivated starting from the m improvement of the living conditions of individuals, from dignity

“Only if no one is left behind can everyone’s gaze turn forward”, concluded Tridico indicating the way forward. “It’s up to us, with every type of tool we choose to put in place, to keep the promise we signed through the Constitution: to grow as a community through work and support for the full development of each individual, starting with the least and the more fragile”.
