(Finance) – The project ENEA “ES-PA – Energy and Sustainability for the PA” won the “Impact Award” for the public administration category, promoted by CSR and Social Innovation Exhibition. The award, now in its third edition, rewards Italian public, associative and entrepreneurial entities that have been able to create economic, social and environmental value and evaluate the impact of their projects. The award was presented at the Bocconi University in Milan, during an event organized by Bocconi itself, together with ASviS, Unioncamere, Sustainability Makers, Fondazione Global Compact Network Italia, Sodalitas and Koinètica,

ENEA experts have in fact developed guidelines, technical and regulatory documents, operational tools and technological and methodological reviews for a total of over 100 products and services made available to public administrations. “The profiles of the over 3 thousand users of the ES-PA portal and the 170 events that we have organized demonstrate the interest not only of central and local public administrations, but also of businesses, freelancers, energy managers and EGEs, teachers and university students and schools, doctoral students and researchers,” adds Coppola. “In summary, ES-PA demonstrates how the research serving local administrations And stakeholders can translate into concrete and replicable actions to transfer the results from the laboratories to the territories, responding to training needs sectors key such as sustainability, circularity, adaptation to climate change, renewable energy and energy efficiency”, concludes Coppola.
Among the main results of the project, the first stands out Single Energy Cadastredeveloped in Sicily in collaboration with the Region. This tool, which will soon also be adopted by Puglia, Lazio and Campania, integrates Energy Performance Certificates (APE) with data on heating systems and virtual buildings, allowing the geolocation of buildings on regional cartography.
Among the pilot projects, ENEA implemented the program PELL (Public Energy Living Lab) in Livorno and integrated territorial projects for sustainable economic development, implemented in Lampedusa and Matera. PELL has created a network of intelligent LED street lights, remotely controlled traffic lights, sensors and cameras for traffic and parking management, as well as environmental monitoring, allowing energy savings of up to 70% and a reduction of over 1,400 tonnes of CO2 per year. year.
THE projects territorial integrated for sustainable economic development have made a valid and recognized contribution to the promotion of new production chains linked to the principles of the circular economy, through the application of innovative technological and governance solutions and the strengthening of local skills. With a broad involvement of the young generations: particularly significant, in this regard, is the School living lab, a dissemination project on the issues of sustainability and the principles of the circular economy, in collaboration with the “Pitagora” Higher Education Institute of Policoro (Matera).
