Para-country skier Inki Inola celebrate gold and Nico Bennert skied to silver at the Torino Universiade. Inola took the victory in the 10 km free race together with her guide Reetu Inkilän with.
– The competition was quite tough, and the height always surprises. A good start to this race week. I’m going to get a similar result in the traditional sprint, this served as a good opening for that, Inola said.
Bennert won silver in the cross-country 10-kilometer freestyle. Norwegian Olaf Martin Aaseru Talmo took the gold by 6.8 seconds to Bennert.
– I didn’t expect a medal, but it was a positive surprise. The skiing was absolutely fantastic – the maintenance has done a damn good job, praised Bennert, whose main distance of the Games is 20 kilometers on traditional skiing.
