At the beginning of February, the Environmental and Health Protection Agency carried out a planned food inspection at a popular restaurant in northern Sweden.
During the inspection, they were able to establish that the restaurant did not follow all the rules in the food legislation.
In the environmental and health protection report, which News24 taken note of, it says that the restaurant had problems with its cleanliness, among other things.

Old grease and mold
Among other things, the ventilation filter was inadequately cleaned, which caused old grease to drip onto the frying table.
It is also stated in the report that the dishwasher had “growth of red mold” and the fryer had “old food residues embedded inside and on the side”.

Then a follow-up check must take place
Several other places in the restaurant kitchen are said to have violated the food legislation, as it was dirty with embedded food residues.
“Old food residue and debris noted under equipment” and several contact surfaces were “smeared and visibly dirty,” the report states.
By February 20 at the latest, all deviations must be remedied. After that, environmental and health protection will do a follow-up check, due to the deviations.

When Nyheter24 gets in touch with one of the restaurant’s board, he regrets the incident.
– Unfortunately, our established procedures have not been followed, which we regret and take full responsibility for. We appreciate the environmental and health protection controls and work closely with them regarding issues related to cleaning, among other things, says one of the board members to Nyheter24 and continues:
