Information: Shareholders drop out of the negotiations for new capital for Northvolt

The Echo refers to several sources. The defection is described as a major setback in the attempts to bring in new capital and save the crisis-stricken battery law.

The number of shareholders who are said to have dropped out is unclear, as well as who they are. But Ekot describes the shareholders as “relatively large”.

– They do not consider it justifiable to go in with more money, says a source to Ekot.

Don’t want to comment

Bringing in new capital from existing shareholders is one of the tracks that Northvolt is working on.

Erik Zsiga, Northvolt’s press manager, does not want to comment on Ekot’s information.

– The negotiations with owners and investors are still ongoing, but we do not comment on details and rumors like this as usual, he tells SVT.
