Leaders of Bangladesh’s protest movement expect the country’s interim government to be assembled today, Wednesday.
So far, the only thing known for sure about the composition of the government is that it will be headed by a Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus.
The government is filling the power vacuum Bangladesh fell into after bloody protests and the resignation of the prime minister on Monday.
Also the President of Bangladesh Mohammed Shahabuddin says that it is urgent to appoint a provisional government so that the country can get out of the turmoil that lasted more than weeks and towards new elections.
The Central Bank of Bangladesh says that four of its deputy governors have resigned at the request of the protesters, who also demanded the resignation of the bank’s governor himself.
