A 15-year-old is sentenced to 14 years in prison for murder after shooting a 23-year-old gang leader in Gävle last year.

According to the prosecutor, the boy is estimated to be 18 years.

“The prosecutor has argued that at the time of the offense, NN was 18 years old, which would mean that, in so far, he is now of interest being treated as an adult and can be sentenced to life without taking into account the considerations otherwise for persons under 18 years.”

The shooting of death occurred outside a nightclub that was about to close.

Another two people were hit by shots in connection with the shooting and the 15-year-old is also convicted of attempted murder.

The boy should also be expelled from Sweden. The district court’s judgment states that the murder of the gang leader “has obviously been preceded by preparation and planning”.
