Information before Biden’s visit: Several acts of violence are planned

There is concern in Northern Ireland ahead of the visit of US President Joe Biden and several other world leaders. Reports suggest more acts of violence are being planned, and on Monday police were attacked with firebombs by masked protesters. Police urged the public to remain calm: “Our officers have been attacked in Creggan with petrol bombs and other objects while attending an unannounced Easter parade. No injuries have been reported at this time,” the police agency wrote on Monday afternoon. 90 parades Over 90 parades had been notified and approved by the authorities in connection with the 25th anniversary of the so-called Good Friday Agreement, which created some normalcy in troubled Northern Ireland. But the police expected that several groups would carry out unauthorized demonstrations and were prepared for violence. See pictures of the riots in the clip above.
