For the fourth month in a row, inflationary pressure in Turkey is easing. Consumer prices rose by 55.2 percent in February compared to 57.7 percent in January and 64.3 percent in December, according to new statistics.
However, the downward trend may be broken when the country’s government intends to push for financial support linked to the earthquake disaster that occurred in early February. The stimulus package is feared to be able to suppress inflation further.
