Inflation in July 6.4 percent

Inflation in Sweden remains at a high level. According to Statistics Finland’s latest figures, the CPIF measure was 6.4 percent at an annual rate in July, compared with 6.4 percent in June and 6.7 in May.

Tuesday’s statistical news was somewhat surprising. Experts polled by Infront believed on average that July inflation would land at 6.5.

The Riksbank and the state expert agency Konjunkturinstitut also predicted inflation of just over 6.5 percent at an annual rate for July in their latest forecasts.
