Inflation bonus who will receive the 150 euros promised by

INFLATION HELP. A new bonus of 150 euros will be paid at the start of the 2022 school year to try to counter inflation. For who ? We take stock.

[Mis à jour le 20 juin 2022 à 08h06] Emmanuel Macron’s government and more particularly Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne were working on new emergency aid and support for “the most deprived” in order to counter the galloping inflation observed in recent months. Indeed, consumer prices have jumped lately (5.2% in May over one year), putting a strain on the portfolio of French households. As the food voucher was abandoned this year, and postponed to early 2023 due to its complexity of implementation, a brand new bonus has just been announced!

An inflation bonus of 150 euros will be distributed from the start of the 2022 school year, in September, and will be paid directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries, without any action on their part. The “lowest” should be concerned according to the words of the Prime Minister, namely: young people aged 18 to 25, students, low-wage families with dependent children and perhaps the middle classes. In other words, the public targeted by the food voucher. The formalization of the beneficiaries should take place during the presentation of the purchasing power bill, on July 6 by Elisabeth Borne. A global project which will also allow the announcement of other flagship measures of Macron’s second five-year term, such as the increase in pensions, the tripling of the PEPA bonus or the abolition of the TV license fee.

The emergency aid desired by Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne aims to help “the most modest“. The terms are still vague, students, families with children, recipients of social minima… The project still needs to be refined, and the government should speak in the coming weeks, perhaps after the legislative elections. June 12 and 19.

Julien Denormandie, former Minister of Agriculture made it his priority when the food voucher was still relevant. Emmanuel Macron talks to him about “middle classes” and “lower classes“. Families with children and modest incomes could also find themselves in the sights.

To fight against the general increase in consumer prices, and in particular food prices, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced the creation of aid paid directly into the bank account of beneficiaries, from the start of the 2022 school year. information is not yet known, but the scheme could well resemble the old inflation bonus of 100 euros introduced by Emmanuel Macron.

The amount of this new Borne inflation bonus could reach 150 euros. The details are not yet clear, in particular concerning the potential start of the food check. Will the two devices be separate? Will the government give up the food check in favor of this new inflation bonus? Nothing is less certain, but the sum of 150 euros advanced by the executive seems for the time being to hold the rope.

The new aid to fight against inflation and supposed to strengthen the purchasing power of the French desired by Elisabeth Borne will be paid directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries, from the start of the 2022 school year! Those concerned should therefore see a bank transfer appear on their account from September 2022.
