An infant is suspected of having been subjected to serious violence in Västmanland.
The condition is life-threatening, according to information given to TV4 Nyheterna.
Now the father has been arrested for extremely serious assault.
The child, who is a few months old, was taken to hospital with serious injuries on Friday morning. The healthcare staff suspected a crime and then called the police.
– We ordered a patrol to the hospital to arrest the child’s parents, a man and a woman, says Stefan Larsson, press spokesperson at the police in Västmanland.

The police: The family’s home is cordoned off
The mother and father were arrested for extremely serious assault.
– The woman is now released, but the suspicions remain. The man is still detained and detained, says Stefan Larsson.
Later on Monday, the father was detained by the Västmanland district court on reasonable suspicion, the longer degree of suspicion.
