Indycar: Marcus Ericsson had his day ruined – crashed in Milwaukee

It was on lap 147 of 250 that Marcus Ericsson and American Josef Newgarden collided. The Swede slipped in the corner and dragged Newgarden with him. Both reportedly escaped injury.

Indycar leader Alex Palou, who was just behind the drivers, escaped the crash with nothing but horror and was able to drive home a fifth place finish.

Lundqvist best Swede

Pato O’Ward won. Linus Lundqvist finished sixth in the race and became the best Swede. He led early in the race but lost precious seconds during the first pit stops.

However, Marcus Ericsson gets a new chance already during the day when the second race in Milwaukee is to be run.

“Can’t wait until I get to drive. We continue to fight,” writes Ericsson on Instagram.
