Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi said on social media on Wednesday that he hoped to “return to peace” as he left for Ukraine.
Modi will first visit Poland and then travel to Ukraine on Friday. This is Modi’s first visit to Ukraine.
Modi said he plans to talk to the Ukrainian president to Volodymyr Zelensky with “views for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine” and deepening the friendship between India and Ukraine.
