Indescribable feeling winning 1 million

A lottery win has made David Proceviat’s retirement plans a lot easier.

The 52-year-old Brantford man won a $1-million Lotto Maxmillions prize in the Oct. 14 draw. He purchased the winning ticket at the Pioneer Gas Station on Colborne Street.

“I play the lottery once a week, it’s a normal routine,” Proceviat told Ontario Lottery and Gaming officials when he picked up his winnings. “When I checked the ticket, my smile lit up the room.”

“It’s an indescribable feeling.”

Proceviat plans to put the money towards his retirement.

Lotto Max players in Ontario have won more than $7.5 billion since 2009, including 95 jackpot wins and 842maxmillions prizes, right across the province. Lotto Max is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
