This is an appeal to at least some of the 174 elected representatives who represent the Moderates, the Sweden Democrats, the Christian Democrats and the Liberals. Think of your responsibility for Sweden and for the Swedish people who have chosen you instead of crooked party fights at sandbox level!
SD has launched an avalanche that threatens to make Sweden without government during the most dangerous period of security policy since the 1940s. If SD and their three support parties get what they want and the government resigns, they have all played Putin and Erdogan into their hands. You can call it a successful advocacy operation.
If SD wins the line, Russia has managed to disrupt, confuse and divide Sweden and made it seem weak and decadent, the image Putin paints of the West. And in this case, he’s not wrong. Turkey, for its part, can, unfortunately with some right, claim that it is the Kurds who govern the Swedish parliament. All of this seriously threatens our NATO application.
This is it to solve the problem. A political savage who only seems to think of Kurds, despite sitting in the Swedish parliament, no one dares to trust. But Amineh Kavabaveh is the tongue in cheek if everyone follows their party line. Giving her all the power gives Turkish President Erdogan buckets of petrol on the bonfire against Sweden.
Some members of the quartet M, SD, KD and L must therefore dare to think for themselves, about Sweden and endure blows from the party whip. Everything points to the Swedish people loving the one who had such a backbone. But it is doubtful if they exist. Courage, independence and free thinking do not characterize our playhouse for the Riksdag.
The moderates? Well, its leader stood next to the Prime Minister at a recent press conference and promised to do everything possible for the NATO process to go as quickly as possible. Two weeks later, he acts in the opposite way. Breach of promise is unfortunately his hallmark. It started with the rarely disgusting and heartbreaking event when he lied to the Holocaust survivor Hédi Fried straight in the face when he promised never to cooperate with SD.
Now is the half-life for his promises two weeks. It is doubtful whether anyone else in the formerly so proud and serious moderate party dares to think for themselves and for the good of the country. I do not know anyone. The moderates are now increasingly SD light.
The Christian Democrats? No, there the party whip winds harder than when Jesus was flogged under Pontius Pilate. No one dares even think of going against High Priest Busch. There are no signs at all of one’s own thinking and backbone in that party.
The Sweden Democrats? Excluded. They have aroused distrust. Creating chaos is in the party’s DNA. The Great Leader is not defied with impunity.
The Liberals? Perhaps. The party has long groped for a profile issue, a reason for the party to exist. Maybe you now dare to stand out, show courage, statesmanship and responsibility. And vote for Sweden. But well, new party leader Johan Pehrson seems to sing along when conductor Åkesson raises the baton. On posters, he has also turned the issue of NATO into a tie.
Although some of his party comrades seem to think freely and unpretentiously. Maybe the Swedish heroes are there? If the Liberals save Sweden, voters may reward them with a continued seat in the Riksdag. On Tuesday we will see.
