Connor McDavid is considered the world’s best hockey player right now.
But the question is how he stands against Per Ledin himself…
The Swedish SHL profile slipped into a corner in the very best way.
It has run out of superlatives to describe Connor McDavid as a hockey player. The Canadian does exactly what he wants on the ice and is on his way to an absolutely incredible scoring record this season.
McDavid’s great success
Already in 28 games, the Edmonton Oilers superstar has scored an incredible 54 points and tops the scoring league in the NHL by far. But this season is just another in a string of great seasons this guy has had in recent years.

Only 25 years old, he recently reached the mighty mark of a whopping 750 points in the NHL, after just 515 games played. And if he continues his current scoring average, he will land McDavid at a staggering 158 points this season.

Compared to Ledin
This weekend, Connor McDavid was spotlighted in Viaplay’s NHL studio and compared to other players who have worn jersey number 97. Among profiles that Jeremy Roenick, Kirill Kaprizov and Joe Thornton even the most unexpected name suddenly appeared.

Because if McDavid topped the list with 750 points, the SHL profile was found Per Ledin at the very bottom. With zero points…
“Well, I think I can live with this. Decent list nonetheless”, writes Ledin himself on Instagram together with the picture, see it below.
The picture has really caused laughter around hockey Sweden and several have commented and spread it further. The Viaplay presenter Niklas Jihde has also praised Per Ledin for making it onto the mighty list, see the picture below.
“Quite okay company to compare with,” writes one user on Twitter.
“Just 10 points behind Joe Thornton!”, writes another on Instagram.
“Damn mockery!”, writes a third jokingly to Per Ledin.
