The incident occurred in the state of Indiana. Allegedly, a 26-year-old woman named Gaylyn Morris followed her cheating boyfriend with an Apple AirTag. He then drove over him three times, causing his death.
FOLLOWED TO THE BAR WITH AIRTAG
According to the news of the Daily Star; Gaylyn Morris is said to have followed her boyfriend with AirTag to a bar and killed him after seeing him there with another woman.
On the other hand, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department claimed in a press release that Morris, 26, hit his boyfriend Andre Smith with his car on Thursday night, June 2, in the parking lot of a Tilly’s bar in Indianapolis. The statement said that the police found Smith, 26, lying on the ground under a vehicle. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Indianapolis Star report, a witness stated that Morris told him that he had an affair with Smith and that he followed the man with an AirTag because he thought he was cheating on him with another woman.
After going to the bar, Morris allegedly waved an empty liquor bottle to the other woman. However, it was alleged that Smith intervened and the staff asked the three people to leave the bar.
A witness told police that Morris saw Smith drop Smith with his car in the parking lot, then backed up and then moved forward to bump into him again. Morris was later arrested by the police. The woman who was at the bar with Smith was not harmed in the incident.
Morris was said to have been charged with murder and is scheduled to appear in court on June 7.
