The family of a person with dengue fever in the city of Allahabad, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, claimed that his relatives were injected with lemon juice instead of immune plasma, and the patient died because of this. While the family filed a criminal complaint about the incident in question, the hospital where the alleged incident took place was sealed.
ATTENTION TO THE SIMILARITY OF IMMUNE PLASMA AND LEMON JUICE
In the video shared by a journalist on social media after the incident, he drew attention to how similar the immune plasma and lemon juice were from the outside, and called on the authorities to take action on this issue.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Prime Minister Brajesh Pathak said in a statement that the investigation into the incident continues and that immune plasma samples taken from the hospital were sent for testing. Pathak said, “The test report will come in a few hours. Strict measures will be taken against those found guilty in the case,” he said.
