The increase is noticeable among both men and women. For men, sickness absence increased by 0.4 percentage points, and for women by 0.7 percentage points.
Among female workers, the increase was most evident in the age groups 50-59 and 60 years or older. For men, sickness absence increased in all groups, but slightly more for those between 50 and 59 years of age.
The increase applies to all activities with one exception, social protection and administration of justice. Instead, there was a decrease of 0.64 percentage points in 2022.
