Increased accessibility at the county’s train stations: “Make sure no one opts out of the train”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The work to increase accessibility at several train stations in southern Sweden is now complete. This involves, among other things, rebuilding of lifts, walkways to the platforms for the visually impaired, better lighting and new benches.

Now in November, the work at Eksjö station was completed. Sävsjö, Tranås, Nässjö, Huskvarna, Jönköping, Habo, Bankeryd and Mullsjö have previously also received an upgrade for increased accessibility. In general, the major shortcomings of the train stations in the past have been that there was a lack of tactile guide lines.
