– We can save 4 ambulances that do not need to drive patients on the way to Uppsala and Stockholm, but they can instead be at home in case of urgent events such as accidents, says Sofia Jarl (C) Regional Council and Chair of the Health and Medical Board, Region Dalarna.
Resource in case of major accidents
In the bus, there is the possibility of medical monitoring, drug administration and general care. The staff will consist of paramedics and nurses.
– The bus will both relieve the load on the ambulance service and be a resource in the event of major accidents and incidents, says Fredrik Forselius, director of operations for the ambulance service in Region Dalarna.
