In Yvelines, an emergency service in great pain

The fight against the tiger mosquito in France

In Meulan-en-Yvelines, a town of 10,000 inhabitants, west of Paris, the emergency department of the town hospital has been on strike since January 8. An indefinite strike to demand the creation of an additional night nurse position. A necessity, because it is impossible to properly treat 30 people per nurse every night. This is the average in this hospital. A situation which illustrates the crisis of emergency services in France. The testimony of three striking nurses.
