When do you get your declaration in 2025?

When you receive your declaration in 2025 varies. Those who have so -called digital mailbox will receive their income tax return before those who do not have such a mailbox and who instead receive the declaration by post.

When does the declaration start in 2025 will be sent out digitally?

If you have a digital mailbox, such as Kivra or Billo, the declaration will be sent out between Monday 3 and Friday 7 March. You will then receive a note that you received a mail from the Swedish Tax Agency.

Anyone who has not obtained a digital mailbox by Sunday, March 2, receives the income tax return by 2025 by post instead.

“This is true even if you are under 18 and have a digital mailbox, unless your guardians have approved that mail from the public sector, such as the Swedish Tax Agency, should be sent there,” the authority writes on its website.

The declaration dips into physical mailboxes around the country between March 17 and April 15. Thus, the shipment can come at any time for a period of four weeks.

How many declared last year?

In 2024, 8.4 million people declared. 92 percent of these declared digitally.

4.4 million people received their final tax announcement in April. This is an increase of 26 percent compared to the year before.

In what order, the declaration is sent out in 2025?

Has your partner, friend or family member received his declaration, but not you? Don’t worry.

“The Swedish Tax Agency sends out the declarations on an ongoing basis and in a random order. This means that you who share households or live in the same city can get the declaration on different occasions,” the authority writes on its homepage.

If you know that you should declare and have not received your declaration within the specified time period, you can proceed digitally with the help of e-identification.

“If you only approve your declaration, you can easily do so in the Tax Agency or E-service Income tax return 1. You who will change any task or add something, such as an appendix, need to use the E-service Income tax return 1”, can be read at The Swedish Tax Agency.

But if you lack e-identification then?

– If you do not have a digital ID and have not received your declaration on paper, you can always order the declaration at Skatteverket.se or contact us. However, keep in mind that we will send the declaration to your registered address and that if you represent someone else, such as a death estate, you need to show that you have the right to access the income declaration with the help of consent or power of attorney from the person (s) concerned, says Emelie Köhndeclaration expert at the Swedish Tax Agency, to News24.
