“These American crayfish are a problem,” says deputy Mirjam Sterk. “And the fisheries law stands in the way. You have to tackle that. Only professional fishermen are allowed to catch them and one crayfish can grow up to six hundred new ones,” she continues. “Does Piet (Adema, minister of agriculture) know about this?” asks Minister Van der Wal. “Good point.
