In Uganda, located in East Central Africa, at least eight people have died after being trapped under a landslide.
The accident happened early Saturday morning at a landfill in the country’s capital, Kampala. According to the authorities, two children were among the dead.
Mayor of Kampala Erias Lukwago earlier in January warned people living near landfills about the dangers of poorly stored waste.
