While France is considering including the right to abortion in the Constitution, elsewhere – including in several Western countries – this right is in retreat or even threatened. This is the case in the United States, Italy and Hungary. In Turkey, voluntary termination of pregnancy has been a right guaranteed by law for 39 years. But in fact, over the past ten years, it has become almost impossible to use it in public hospitals.
