According to Turkey’s largest opposition party CHP, about 300,000 people have participated in anti -administrative demonstrations in Istanbul tonight.

In addition to Istanbul, the demonstrations have also been held in the capital in Akrara, on the west coast in Izmir and in dozens of other cities.

During the day, gatherings were also held at several universities.

As the evening progresses, the police have been trying to break up the demonstration with rubber bullets and tear gas today, reporters at AFP report.
