director Paul W.S. Anderson is known for action films like Mortal Kombat and Pompeii, but will probably be known to most film fans for his video game adaptation of Resident Evil (2002), which he expanded into a 6-part series (plus a reboot).
Leading actress Milla Jovovich is not only its defensive star, but also became Anderson’s wife in 2009. Now, five years after Monster Hunter (2020), the couple is presenting another film together: the fantasy adventure In the Lost Lands, for which the first trailer has now been released.

What’s it about? At the center of In the Lost Lands is the magician Gray Alys (Milla Jovovich), who is sent on a dangerous mission by her queen: she is supposed to search for a powerful gift in the eponymous “Lost Lands”. She is also accompanied on her journey by the mysterious hunter Boyce (Dave Bautista), who supports her in the fight against dark creatures. But the magical fulfillment of wishes always has unforeseen consequences.
