With Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, the first major genre representative of the year will hit the cinemas at the end of the month.
If you’re in the mood for an exuberant fantasy adventure, Dungeons & Dragons is the place for you. The film is based on that tabletop role-playing game of the same name, which has been bringing fantasy fans together for decades. Now the quest is shifting from the living room at home to the big screen.

The story of Dungeons & Dragons revolves around the cunning thief Edgin (Chris Pine) who gathers a team of criminals to pull off a big heist. These include the barbarian Holga (Michelle Rodriguez), the magician Simon (Justice Smith), the druid Doric (Sophia Lillis) and the paladin Xenk (Regé-Jean Page). And then there’s the shady Forge (Hugh Grant).

The new trailer for the Dungeons & Dragons film adaptation focuses on action and shows us many of the dangerous creatures that the heroes of the story will encounter on their journey. Right at the beginning there is a look at one fire-breathing dragon, before even the dead are brought to life in the end. According to the trailer, Edgin and Co. face the greatest threat the world has ever known.
When will Dungeons & Dragons be in cinemas?
We don’t have to wait much longer for the arrival of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor among Thieves. In a few days, on March 10, 2023, the film will celebrate its world premiere at South by Southwest. It’s not far until the German theatrical release. From the March 30, 2023 the dragons are unleashed.
