In the Season of Discovery you are level 25 – but one is already killing bosses at level 60

At level 25 you are very limited in WoW Classic. Or? A streamer goes out and kills even elite opponents at level 60.

The Season of Discovery may have been a complete success for Blizzard. In this new interpretation of “WoW Classic” there is a lot of fresh content, such as glyphs that change entire classes, numerous new secrets and even new raids. A big special feature, however, is the level cap, which is currently only level 25. Therefore, many areas of the game world are actually inaccessible or would lead to a very quick death.

But a streamer doesn’t let that stop him. With the help of his community, he also defeats bosses that are actually intended for level 60.

The developers have revealed what’s still to come in the season of discovery here:

What happened in the Season of Discovery? Streamer Xaryu is currently playing WoW in the Season of Discovery. While he has already experienced most of it, he is trying to take on new tasks. So he takes part in PvP or tries to kill Mor’Ladim, a strong elite opponent from the Duskwood, single-handedly. He also manages to do this by drawing the enemy towards friendly guards, who then do most of the work.

More and more viewers of the streamer then joined him to see which big enemies could still be defeated. The result: very, very many.

Xaryu and his group of spectators manage to defeat some of the toughest opponents, some of whom are still tough even at level 60. Elite opponents such as the Hydras on the island of Alcaz or even King Mosh are brought down by the raid group.

How is that possible? This is possible thanks to a strategy that will probably make some people roll their eyes. Because while a large part of the raid is focused on combat, there are some healers who intentionally don’t join the fight. Your task is to instantly revive fallen heroes. This is not possible during combat, but as long as the healer is only scratching up the dead, he is not considered “in combat.”

The strategy of an “out-of-combat rezz” was more common back in the days of vanilla World of Warcraft. This is no longer possible in most game content these days, as – for example in a boss fight – the entire group is automatically drawn into the fight. In the free world, however, this is still an option, so you can have an almost endless loop of rebirths and even the greatest enemies can be defeated at some point given enough time (and enough heroes willing to die).
