The leaders of the Pacific Islands Forum are meeting from this Sunday, August 25, for their annual summit. Held this year in Nuku’alofa, the capital of Tonga, this event brings together for several days the eighteen associated states and territories, including New Caledonia and French Polynesia. On the agenda of this meeting, climate change and the fight against rising waters to which the Pacific islands are particularly sensitive.
