In the new DLC you control the Pokémon through the region
How can you experience the world in the DLC as a pocket monster? As soon as you have progressed far enough with your new adventure in the DLC, you will receive a device called a Synchro Machine and can use it to explore the open world of the Paldea region yourself as a Pokémon.
With this new machine you can synchronize with your Pokémon and control their movements, send them across the map and fight against wild Pokémon. The official description (via scarletviolet.pokemon.com) promises you a completely new perspective.
The device should also be usable while you are using the circle of friends. So you can explore the Paldea region together with your friends.
When will you receive the machine? You will receive the device as the new content rolls out. According to official information, you will receive the synchronous machine from a scientist in the Tera Dome, whom you will help out with research within the DLC. So you definitely shouldn’t miss this new machine.
What else awaits you in the second part: In the new DLC, the trainers end up at the Blueberry Academy near the Unova region. New challenges and discoveries await you there. Similar to its predecessor, you can get to know a few new characters and Pokémon.
