Nathacha Appanah is one of the great voices of French letters. Born in Mauritius in 1971, she is the author of around ten novels, the best known of which are Les Rochers de Poudre d’or which made her known and Tropique de la violence. Family relationships, memory, geopolitical questions are his favorite themes. She has just published La Mémoire délavée with Éditions de Mercure de France, halfway between family biography and autofiction.
